Moonlight Sonata (A Candela Obscura Assignment)

As twilight casts its dim veil over the city, a man hurries down a slick, rain-slickened alleyway. His footsteps echo against the damp pavement as he quickens his pace, his mind consumed with the urgency of his appointment. The drizzle intensifies, adding to the sense of urgency as he navigates the treacherous path.

Suddenly, his foot slips on a wet cobblestone, sending him stumbling forward. As he regains his balance, a strange, guttural sound echoes through the alley, chilling him to the bone. Heart pounding, he dares not look back, fearing what may lurk in the shadows behind him. Desperate to escape the unsettling noise, he quickens his steps, his heart racing with each thud against his chest. Just as he reaches the end of the alley, a warm breath grazes the nape of his neck, sending shivers down his spine. The stench of blood fills his nostrils, and with a sudden sense of dread, he whirls around to confront the source of the ominous presence behind him. All he sees is a gaping jaw, dripping with saliva, before darkness envelops him, leaving him with no time to scream.
